My Birthday Wish!
For my birthday on October 22, I have one wish: to bring together the people I love around work that has given so much meaning to my own life. I am asking friends, family, and supporters to help me raise $5,000 for LOTUS Humanitarian, the 501(c)(3) organization I founded to spread love and relieve suffering around the world.

LOTUS began in 2020 with a simple hope: to help one man. Saral, a dear friend I met in India, has devoted his life to serving others with compassion. I met him during one of the hardest chapters of my life, when I was struggling to find my own footing. His example reminded me that even then, I still had something to offer. Interestingly, we share birthdays in October just two days apart!
What began as a way to support Saral’s work became a source of purpose and connection in my own life. Over time, I met more people who shared that same conviction: that love is not only something we feel, but something we practice through the way we show up for one another.
Many of those people are remarkable women whose love of travel has led them into meaningful relationships with communities around the world. One of LOTUS Humanitarian’s earliest supporters and board members, Marjon Tondravi, founded She Dares to Wander, a transformational travel organization rooted in giving back. Through that partnership, we have connected with global ambassadors and local partners across India, Bali, Tanzania, Guatemala, Cambodia, and Uganda, all working toward a more compassionate world.
Together, we support locally led work that helps girls access education, provides food for people facing hunger, and creates opportunity for women and children.
Every donation to LOTUS Humanitarian goes directly to people in need. We are entirely volunteer-run: no one receives a salary, and our board members cover their own travel expenses when visiting projects. Your gift helps sustain trusted local work and allows us to respond when help is needed.
