🌼 Sewing Seeds of Strength

In a small Tanzanian community, Glory Albert is helping women reclaim their power, dignity, and independence. Through her nonprofit, the Mission Minded Foundation, she provides women with practical skills — and the knowledge to protect, sustain, and value themselves.

Glory’s classroom hums with purpose as women learn to sew reusable menstrual pad kits, manage small businesses, and understand their worth. Her work isn’t just about fabric and thread — it’s about stitching new futures for women and girls who have been overlooked for too long.

💛 What Mission Minded Foundation Does

Teaches women to sew reusable menstrual pad kits, providing both income and community impact
Offers education on women’s health, sexual safety, and self-protection
Builds financial literacy through basic marketing and bookkeeping training
Encourages peer mentorship and leadership within the community

Each pad kit produced serves a double purpose — half are sold to sustain the project, and half are distributed for free to schoolgirls in need.

🌱 How LOTUS Supports

LOTUS Humanitarian has funded all the sewing machines for Glory’s program and sent fabric donations to keep the project running.

Current needs include:

8 additional sewing machines (goal: 12 total)
$600 every six months to support teacher salary and sewing supplies

💫 Every $50 helps supply materials for one month of classes — empowering women to build confidence and economic freedom.

🙌 The Heart Behind the Mission

Glory believes that education is the foundation of empowerment. In her workshops, women learn not only to sew — but to understand their bodies, their rights, and their potential.

“We talk about everything,” Glory says. “From protecting ourselves to believing we are worthy of more. Knowledge is freedom.”

Her next dream is to launch Part Two of the program — advanced business training to help women turn their new skills into sustainable livelihoods.
