What We Saw Around the World This Year

Our global work in 2025 was made even more powerful through our partnership with She Dares to Wander, the woman-founded, service-centered travel company that believes deeply in ethical, impact-focused travel. Their commitment to meaningful connection helped bring our projects to life in profound ways.

🇰🇭 Cambodia (Trip with She Dares to Wander)

Together with a group of incredible women, we spent time with the children of the orphanage we support in Siem Reap — children raised with love by Seyla and his family. We also traveled to the rural hills of Kulen Mountain to visit an English class taught beneath a stilted home, where students dream of one day learning in a real classroom.

🇮🇳 India

In New Delhi, we walked deep into the slums to meet children attending school in conditions most of the world has never seen — yet they show up with courage, excitement, and hope. With our partner Saral, we delivered food kits to families facing daily hunger. Many told us these meals were their only source of security for the week. We were also able to fund the education for two girls to attend school for one year through another trusted NGO, Learning by Locals.

🇹🇿 Tanzania & Kenya (Trip with She Dares to Wander)

We delivered wheelchairs to disabled children who had never before had a way to move with dignity and independence.
We provided feminine hygiene supplies to girls and women so they no longer have to miss school or suffer shame due to lack of access to basic products.

🇺🇬 Uganda

On Koome Island, a remote fishing island where resources are scarce and educational support is deeply limited, LOTUS provided funding for education to students who would otherwise go without. Education is the foundation of long-term change, and your generosity helped make learning possible.

Each experience reminded us:

Compassion is not charity.
It is dignity.
It is possibility.
It is love made real.
