As we approach the end of another remarkable year, all of us at LOTUS Humanitarian want to extend our deepest gratitude to you—our donors, volunteers, supporters, and partners. Because of your generosity, compassion, and belief in our mission, 2024 became a year filled with connection, transformation, and hope.

This year reminded us why LOTUS was founded:
to spread love, relieve suffering, and create opportunities for those who need it most.
And you helped make that mission real in ways that touched thousands of lives.

✨ A Life-Changing Journey to Cambodia

One of the most meaningful highlights of the year was our transformative trip to Cambodia with She Dares to Wander, a woman-founded travel company committed to service-based, purpose-driven adventures.

Led by LOTUS board member and SDTW founder Marjon Tondravi, we brought twelve extraordinary women to Siem Reap. Together, we visited two of our core projects, met the children and leaders we support, and witnessed firsthand the incredible power of compassion in action.

The Orphanage in Siem Reap

Run lovingly by Seyla Poy and his family, the orphanage provides a safe, nurturing home for 35–40 children ages 6–17. During our visit, we played, learned, laughed, and shared meals with them—experiences that moved every one of us to tears.

Thanks to your support, LOTUS has been able to:

  • Purchase all beds and bedding
  • Build boys’ and girls’ bathroom facilities
  • Fund vocational programs for older youth
  • Sponsor holiday celebrations and outings
  • Provide shoes, clothing, toys, food storage, and essentials

And this year, through the generosity of our corporate partners and donors, we were able to fund a full clean water filtration system that will serve not only the orphanage but the surrounding community for years to come. This system will dramatically improve health and quality of life—and you made that possible.

✨ A Visit to the Kulen Mountain English School

We also visited the English school run by the inspiring Vanara Mao, who teaches more than 40 rural children beneath his family’s stilted home. LOTUS currently funds his teacher salary, school supplies, food kits, books, shoes, and clothing.

His dream is to build an enclosed classroom so children can continue learning during Cambodia’s heavy rains. With your help, we hope to make that dream a reality in 2026.

✨ This Year’s Impact Reached Far Beyond Cambodia

Thanks to you, LOTUS continued to support vulnerable women and children in:

  • India — by providing nutrition, food kits, clothing, and education support
  • Tanzania — through education support for disabled and vulnerable children and hygiene essentials for girls
  • Uganda & Kenya — through targeted aid, education resources, and partnerships with trusted local leaders

Wherever there is need—and wherever compassion calls—we show up. And you make that possible.

✨ Looking Ahead: Travel With Purpose in 2025

Thanks to the success and profound impact of She Dares to Wander's Cambodia trip, we are thrilled to share that there will be multiple service-based trips in partnership with LOTUS Humanitarian, in 2026.

The first announced trip is:

🇹🇿 Tanzania • May 15–24, 2025

A journey of culture, connection, and service—supporting women, children and communities we serve while experiencing the beauty and heart of Tanzania.
